Velocity Airey – Training Liaison Officer- va226@ex.ac.uk

Having only ever ridden occasionally on a family farm Velocity started polo this year, not particularly good at riding and did’nt know anything about the sport!  So don’t worry if you’ve never ridden before and want to start, if you enjoy the training it doesn’t really matter! Although Velocity is a beginner in the group she  loves it, and Wednesday training is one of the highlights of her week. She is currently in her 2nd year, studying Law and French and as well as polo she loves drama and surfing at Exeter and beagling at the weekends. Velocity says “Polo last year was such a new sport for me and it continues to be super fun”. She is really excited to be training Sec with Lucy this year, and wants to give back to the club that got  her into “this crazy sport” in the first place! Velocity is looking forward to seeing old faces and new in September and for another great year of polo at Exeter.

Currently finishing my CH Sociology and Spanish degree and in the in the meantime play polo and flourish in Exeter. I’ve grown up in the Basque countryside, horse riding before I could even walk, and constantly move between France and Spain. In my final year I’ll do my best to develop the promotion of the club and obtain financial support. xx

As the Exeter Polo Club has expanded so much in recent years it has been necessary to create a sponsorship committee position. This year Caro hopes to gain sponsorship from a variety of new companies.
